Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
Even though this is a thread about Strictly , Jeff Stelling the Sky Sports presenter has been named as the new Countdown presenter. Channel 4 have said "Barring any problems, he has the job"

Not sure GC but I think it was something like £1 million a year and they wanted to drop it to about £100,000

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
Thank you to whichever controller decided not to have the show head to head with X Factor.
It used to get so complicated if you wanted to watch both shows.
Rachel's Rumba was very impressive, as was Austin's Tango.
Time for the underdog to visit the vets, and be put out of his, and our, misery.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
Yep got to agree, although it was John's best dance yet you could no way compare him to any of the others for dance skills. Please don't let him be there after tomorrow nights show

It was his best dance, ever, but still way below what any of the others are achieving.
I thought Cherie was really good tonight, and Tom, well all of them really, except for....

Yes will be really angry if he is voted in by the viewers. Read somewhere that some journalist friend of his just keeps hitting redial on her phone all through the voting

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
I thought they all gave a good show last night even John was not that bad, but compared to the others he really is out of his depth. Just one thing, how Rachel's boyfriend could sit in the audience an watch her dance with anther bloke like that is way beyond me. Read an interview with Bruno this morning, he said that it helps dancers to perform if they are sleeping together, but he didn't know if any of the contestants were doing it this year

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
Just consider that the viewing public are extracting the urine from a programme which is well past its sell by date - then it is amusing don't you think?

I hope there isn't a grassy knoll just outside the studios.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
Was watching BBC Breakfast this morning and Mandy was on, at the end of his interview he was asked if he would like to take part in Strictly. he said he would love to. I was just wondering who would be the best partner for him Anton, Brendon or Matthew
