I have seen it, theyre singing from start to finish..........It was a very strange film to me, cant say i didnt enjoy it, it wasnt bad, was gory in places and although i turned it off half way through (this was because the boys wouldnt settle) i did watch the 2nd half the following night so couldnt have been that bad, think its one of those folms where you want to know whats going to happen so you keep on watching it. And as per usual Johnny Depp plays a good "weirdo" and was suprised to see Sasha Baron Cohen (Ali G) in there aswell.

Re: Sweeny Todd.........

Thread wander slightly. To me Freddie Jones will always be Sweeney Todd.

TV Circa 1969?

Freddie was later known as Sandy in Emmerdale

Re: Sweeny Todd.........

the TV recording (available on DVD) of the original stage show with Len Cariou and Angela Landsbury in my opinion is much better than the Johnny Depp movie version

Re: Sweeny Todd.........

When they advertised Sweeney Todd they accidently on purpose forgot to mention it was a musical as they thought many people would not go and see it. They were right - if I had known I would not have watched it either.

Good film spoilt by all the singing.
