One of the great advantages of living alone is not having to put up with someone elses idea of entertainment.

I can watch or not watch, I'm not having sit and squirm because the other person needs to watch yet another ficticious wedding and murder plot supposedly purporting to ordinary 'street', life.

Nor am I having to record such things as The Sky At Night, or Horizen because my partner claims they are boring, (when what they mean is, they haven't got enough between the ears to understand what's going on, (most of the time neither have I, but I'm willing to learn)).

There are times when I think that would be a boon, but then again some of the benefits of having someone whose whims are different to mine, outweigh that desire.

He once said he was going to visit Oz, (on his own) for six months I was rubbing my hands...thinking I can stay up and watch what I want.....get up when I want......eat when I want(instead of having to produce meals to a set time)stay on the computer all day if I want. He didn't go and I felt just a little bit cheated.

Ya agree there Max, he was quite good at one time but, why can't he retire gracefully instead of making a fool of himself

Re: Unwatchable Personalities.

Just seen this thread-the awful thing is that I don't know any of the presenters you all mention.

Except, that is, for Jeremy Clarkson & co who I actually find quite amusing.

I like the way JC says exactly what he thinks and doesn't give a hoot for being politically correct - more of the same as far as I'm concerned.

I envy you. A world without Ant and Dec must indeed be a wonderful place!

I take it that you haven't watched much television in Europe, especially Italy?

Their presenters make Ant and Dec look like Richard Dimbleby and John Pilger.

Can't comment on Ant and Deck as I really haven't seen them.

TV in Italy, as a rule is naff, I don't watch it unless forced - except for Who wants to be a Milionaire, which isn't on at the moment. The presenter of this is called Gerry Scotti and he's about the only only decent presenter on all the channels available.

He also does Italia's got talent which finished on Saturday - had half an eye on it as I was doing something else, that's mostly naff too!

Just had a look on Youtube to see if I could find one of the best acts to post. A guy wearing old fashioned white underpants and big white wings who flew about singing Robie Williams "Angel" - he wasn't bad

i wholeheartedly agree with you on this one Mick, i can't stand the bloke, he isn't funny whatsoever and i refuse to watch his stupid tv programme, i even have to watch You've Been Framed with the telly muted so i don't need to listen to his insesant grating voice
