Re: X...
I might be wrong pipinfort. But i am sure that i read somewhere that she was born in Accrington but moved to Blackburn not that long ago. Also that she goes to School in Blackburn.

I think she lives in Accrington and goes to school in Blackburn.
However, on the vt she keeps saying 'Im just little Diana from Blackburn.'
Maybe she's been told to say that in case no-one's heard of Accrington.
Maybe she doesn't want people knowing exactly where she lives.....there are some strange folk out there who'd go and pay a visit to her house.

She could be really mysterious, and say she's from Hyndburn.

I agree with the two of you.
Daniel is annoying me now with his 'I'm singing this for my wife' lines.
Niki was the same last year.....every song was for her dead dad.
As you say, Garinda, it does make the Peter Kay show very realistic.

Re: X...
Again strong competition from the other girls in the competition, but by far my favourite performance tonight was by Diana.
Laura started off amazigly, but didn't have the rawness of Jocelyn Brown, who did the original, to carry it off.
Nice to see that when pushed Will Young endorsed Diana.

Re: X...
Yep, thought Diana did really well tonight. It was strong, powerful but really different.
But, I thought her outfit was wrong, wrong, wrong!

Re: X...
Diana was fabulous tonight......it's so exciting to think about what will happen if she wins!
I wasn't surprised to see Rachel in the bottom two but was surprised that the judges saved her over Austin.....I thought they'd have sent her home.

Re: X...
Diana was better than I've seen her.....if she can only stop doing the Little Richard squeal, she'll be good.
I thought Laura was fantastic, Ruth not far behind, but what the hell is Daniel doing still there? He's mediocre at best.
Our Laura is ecstatic that Eoghan is still in there. There's nothing to compare with a 9 year old's crush.

Re: X...
Poor Diana.....she must be gutted at not being able to perform this week.
Fancy missing out on the chance to sing with Mariah Carey.
How can it be that Ruth and Laura are in the bottom two tonight?
Why is Daniel still in the competition?

Re: X...
Good God, Laura's out and Daniel's still in! What a load of excrement. That girl can sing the nauseating, maudlin Daniel into oblivion and she's also far more versatile than Ruth (but Simon Cowell doesn't fancy her).

Re: X...
and Eoghan's still in, and JLS - I'm not saying they're bad but they're really bland - the women are much better

What a shocker.
Poor Laura.
I like Ruth too, and both were outstanding in the sing off.
I think these themed nights, Mariah, Michael Jackson etc., are rubbish.
They should all be free to sing what best shows off their talent.
The worst two tonight, for me, were Daniel and Rachel.
Perhaps Rachel got through because she was all hurt and sulky, that won't work two weeks in a row though.
