Boring is, as boring does.
I'm getting bored.
Bored, bored, bored!
Bored of reading members posting that they find threads as 'boring'.
I have no interest in technology, and the like, so I rarely venture into those sections of the forum. If I forced myself to read them, I'd be boring myself.
Since I don't recall any terms or conditions, which say we will be forced to read thing we have no interest in, when we signed up for Accy Web, for the life of me, I can't understand why people would do this to themselves. Well, unless they have masochistic tendencies.
Bored yet?
Easily solved.
Stop reading this, this very second.
Better still, rather than moan you're bored, do something proactive.
Start a thread that does interest you, and hopefully others will share your interest, and join in.
It's what makes this forum fun.
Moaning you're bored isn't fun...it's boring.
I will be taking my own advice, by the way, and will no longer be reading any posts, in which people complain about boredom.

Reminds me of a John Cooper Clarke monologue, sans the swear words!

No G...not bored at all.
I am not so discerning as you.....I will read anything......well,except perhaps the football threads.....that is boys stuff(OK, OK I know some girls like football too, but I reckon it is just to look at muscular legs).

Quite right. I started a thread about a subject which interested me (myself!) and was surprised and pleased at the interest shown by others. Along the way I feel I have got to know many people, if only electronically - they're still interesting and nice folk. Supportive, too, as I discovered a few days ago when I got a bit dazed and confused.
Thanks all

All the times I saw him, as a warm up act at punk gigs in the seventies, must have had some effect.
I take that as a compliment.

Re: Boring is, as boring does.
Being prone to it myself -won't use the word....
The thoughts of a few others may help to dispel it.....
"The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind."
Albert Einstein
"Every man can transform the world from one of monotony and drabness to one of excitement and adventure."
Irving Wallace
"I feel monotony and death to be almost the same."
Charlotte Bronte (obviously a manic depressive but I know what she means to some extent!)
Personally I'm with Albert and Irving and Garinda - the problem is harnessing the ideas and getting others interested in what you are interested in - it helps to be amusing of course but then we aren't all laugh a minute types or at least can't be openly so with everyone as our sense of humour may alarm some or offend others...I know my mind works in weird ways at times. I divert myself often by changing Avatar and Signature to follow my mood or the lead of others on here -some may have noticed this trait it is quite fun and i recommend it....keeps the monotony at bay

I was introduced to him by my next door neighbour, who actually writes and performs his own JCC style poetry (but cleaner)

I had noticed that you had three avatars in as many days this week and was just about to ask you about this - now I don't have to!

It's because i'm moody and changeable at times and it's fun to reflect that!

I wrote a Clarke style monologue called Automatic Black Man, when I was fifteen, that my brother didn't believe wasn't one of his, that I was trying to pass off as my own work.
Mind you, it would have seemed more impressive because I'm a good mimic, and can easily replicate Clarke's Salford nasal twang delivery.

Can't quite imagine that somehow but then i don't know the original so can't comment....!
The concerts i saw in the 70's were limited to The Police, The Jam and Depeche Mode! Not really much punk and can't remember the warm-ups....

There's always one.
Thank goodness.

Oddly, not being in the slightest bit original now, that is so not amusing.
Your timing's all to cock.
Why don't you pop off, use your limited imagination, and start your own, wonderful, non-boring thread, that everyone will simply be itching to post in?
Go on.
We'll be waiting in eager anticipation.
We have every faith you can do it.
No one can be that boring, that you won't at least have a brave stab at it.
