We are having continuing problems with the server. It happens when a backup is being executed and causes problems with MySQL and sends the server load sky high, so thats why there are problems with the site at the moment.

Looks like we where REALLY lucky!! Last night the other server that we just moved from, failed drastically and wiped it's hard drive. It has taken the server owners 12 hours so far to recover sites and that hasn't included the database's, which they have a problem with. If we had still been there we would have probably have lost days worth of posts and had a lot of downtime! Can't believe I made a right decision for once!
