Post handling
Trouble with forums is that there IS ALWAYS gonna be posts that will cause offense to some n then not to others we all read things differently dependant on point of view as same with any media/print or whatever, that some ppl will or feel cant express points of view with being victimised part of discussions is different n opposite points of view - not sayin ppl should agree with anything if they dont but we are not all the same n thats what make us individual would be a boring place if we all thought n did the same wouldnt it???
Maybe there should be a forum in place for possible sensitive posts that dont include abuse or nastiness towards other members or label posts with a lil warning ie adult/ humour or may cause offense, ive been member of other forums for a long time n this method seems to ease the 'shock' n ppl can choose to read on at their own discretion without being mislead into another general post.......... Just a thought to ease the tention a bit in ere.

Re: Post handling
Agreed, I just wish some people would lighten up and just say what they really mean and stop trying to put on a public face as not to offend.

Re: Post handling
Forums are about opinion and discussion we all accept that,i put the poll in an appropriate place........."serious discussions only in here" it says.
That is what it was.............it doesn't say lets all castigate Jason for a little insensitivity.
I have a laugh and a joke on here like anyone else,if i have offended anyone with any other posts i would like to be pointed out to it.....as Tealeaf had a go at me as though i have......and i have just over 300!!

Re: Post handling
Thanks for the positive feedback, i thought i'd put the suggestion as i know what will happen for future if i didnt say it, lets say this gr8 forum would become onesided, ppl would become too scared to speak up n then ppl wont post at all cos it'll end up in fall outs also possibility of forum closing down n that would be a shame!!! Hopefully these methods or other suggested ones should correct this n improve the site for everyones sake .

Re: Post handling
Dont think most are aware of the rules or even hunt to read em willow n should be breifly visable on home page on what to do in these situ's of posting rules, but if when ppl are doing a post n know its a humour/adult/may cause offense then if they state that on postaging n everyone is aware then the reduction in blow outs like today would be decreased, like i said only a suggestion - dont shoot [see getting nervous already about replyin n this is what i hope to avoid ---- neeed a strong drink! ] cos nobody is sure what to post, how to say it n dont want to upset anyone or feel bad for sayin something

Re: Post handling
Well if it gets out of hand then I'm sure one PC Plod or other will take control. I thought there was a link somewhere asking everyone to read the rules, but I've been away for a few days so things may have changed in that time.

Re: Post handling
I was told when I was a newbie to be myself, so I am doing just that! I am not and will never be everybodys cup of tea but the way I look at it 'that's life'. Alot of my posts are only just within the guidelines and others are just plain pushing my luck but that's why the moderators are there to watch for things like that. Sorry but I couldn't change the way I am even if I wanted to me, what I post is me and if you don't like it remember not to invite me to your dinner parties !!

Re: Post handling
The rules are right at the bottom of the page, underneath everything, following the copyright notice, where it says "Please read the AccringtonWeb Rules" If you click on the word "Rules" it takes you to them.
