The longer you are here, the easier it is to work out who gave you unsigned karma.
The amount given/deducted relates to a member's reputation power.
I always know how to work out who gave me some, plus there's another fail safe way of finding out.

Re: Power - Karma
Garinda, Steve, thanks for the replies. Steve you'd better read my last few posts tonight then you'll be as clued up as Garinda as to what I've done (thanks g for the solution to the mystery).
My real gtipe is that I objected to some of the words in the anonymous message and I don't think it's fair that I can't respond. Otherwise as you say, stuff 'em.
Thanks again
Sue

Sorry, not saying it was anyone.
Just intrigued, seeing as I hadn't read any controversial posts made by the questioner.
Looking through her recent posts, saw she's posted the word nutter, and a wild guess might reveal this is why she probably lost karma today.
I didn't click on her post, so have no idea of the context.
I'll go and rectify that now, by having a litttle shufty.
Nice change, unless Europe's seeped in there too.

I recall getting a load of grief when I said 'not full shilling' instead of 'learning difficulties'

Re: Power - Karma
when someone takes karma away the should have to sign it, then they may think twice before doing it. Its like stalking, they take points away and leave snotty comments. so should have the cajones to identify themselves.
My last deduction just said "laughing on the other side of your face" havent a clue what it was for or what it means, but have no easy way to find out. So nothing constructive came out of it

Seriously, if it's just rude, ignore it.
However, if a karma message contains swear words, or is obscene, that breaks forum rules.
Report it to a moderator. Their names appear in heavy black type, at the bottom of the homepage.
They can read karma messages, if they're reported, and they'll deal with the issue promptly, and efficently.

People have moaned about karma being unfair, ever since Accy Web was founded.
However, Roy, the owner of the site enjoys the mischief it creates, so it's just a matter of accepting it as a fact of life here.
Like nits.

The nasty stuff I just laugh at.
If I happen to see it, before it's knocked off the chart.
Some seem like anonymous, shy, pm's, and seem to want to know something, and to be soliciting for an answer, but of course you can't reply. They're frustrating.
Like a cry for help, which you can't respond to.

There's your answer.

Actually being a rational scientist I didn't think of it as a conspiracy theory thread. Perhaps that's my problem.

Margaret, I'm giving no one grief.
I haven't even read the thread...yet.
Without clicking on the full post to read it, checking this member's recent posts, l saw she'd posted the word nutter, and guessed this mignt be a reason as to why she's lost karma, when l'd presumed she hadn't posted much to offend on here previously, that l'd seen.
I'll go and read the thread now.

Didn't say you did..actually.
As being a rationalist, and a diplomat, I posted 'some might' consider it a conspiracy theory thread.
