Sticky pile up.

Once threads are made sticky are they there forever?

In general chat there is quite a few now. The ones that are about where people are from I can understand the need to keep visible, but will the Christmas/new year ones still be there at Easter?

It doesn't really bother me, I was just wondering, as eventually there'll be loads of them before you get to the latest threads.

I wouldn't have thought they'll be permanent stickies. The mods / admin will, I presume, 'unstick' them once the Christmas & New Year periods are well and truly over.

Indeed we can stick and unstick at will, the problem I have is I never ever go into any of the forums to see the stickies, so often they end up left till someone else notices them!

Re: Sticky pile up.

Sticky threads in all forums are usually closely monitored but sometimes, for what ever reason the odd one manages to out stay its welcome.
We do try and limit the number of threads that we stick and also we only stick threads that have some sort of an importance to accy Webbers such as, public information, up coming events, good causes and competitions etc.
Threads that have been stuck are also removed. They can be a pain but if we keep the numbers down, like we have been doing then we shouldn’t have any problems. All we can do is apologize for any inconvenience caused.
