Thread titles and waiting for updates

It really does annoy me that when you post online .. you have to wait awhile for the tread to appear again .. ok... so Mick tells me to look in the category .. but .. I forget which one it was and have to go offline to find it. Know written in the programme and probably nowt ya' can do about it .. just having a grumble like.

Also, wish some folks would give us more of a clue what the thread title is about .. ok .. know again can hover over it to see first few lines, still annoying though.

Re: Thread titles and waiting for updates

I always see mine straight away, just click Todays posts from the quick links section.

Just thought, do you use "New posts"? if you do it doesn't show your posts so you won't see it till someone adds something. The Todays Posts show all posts including your own.

I don't quite follow how you have to go offline to find it, but like Ian said if you use 'new posts' then it won't show to you until someone else posts in the thread because the forum already knows you have seen your own post so it isn't new to you.

I agree with you about the obscure titles though. Sometimes I miss interesting topics because the heading sounds like it's going to be about something else.

Entwisi ... you a great big star !! Didn't realise there was a drop down here .. I am such a numpty !! Have spent ages searching for a post which hasn't been updated.

Only when you are off-line does it give 'Today's Posts' in the toolbar .. eek hek, thrilled ta bits.

Deserve some karma for making my day . have to wait 24 hours though

Thanks for asking that question Katex. It's been bugging me for ages and I never noticed the drop down box either. I so love an easy life x
