Where's the edit button?

I've just spotted a glaring spelling boo-boo on one of my posts. I was going to correct it, but the edit button has vamooshed.

Is it just temporary?

Is it just me?

Re: Where's the edit button?

Lol, this thread has an edit button.

Have just checked and the save energy thread, which has my spelling mistake, still hasn't.

Weird.

Re: Where's the edit button?

I've noticed the edit button has a time limit on it. You can't edit after a certain length of time has elapsed. I'd noticed it in another thread when I wanted to go back and edit a post and Len said that's what it was.

Re: Where's the edit button?

Thanks Willow that makes sense, as the edit button has now disappeared.

I'm sure this wasn't always the case, as I remember correcting spelling mistakes months after I'd done them, when old threads are revived.

Must try to be more careful.
