Re: Accrington old band

Hi, I play trumpet in the East Lancs Concert Band ( see East * LancashireConcert * band - Home )

according to our records the band formed in 1842 as the Accrington Old Band but went through many name changes over the years. The early part of the bands history (1842 to 1900) is fairly well documented

Feel free to get in touch as I'm interested in anything you might find out.

n.b. I can't find a "nostalgia" section - am I missing something?

David Frost used "Good Evening Hell and Welcome" as his catch phrase DinG
