Red face Brit in North Carolina

I havent a clue what this 'thread' stuff is ... but here goes.
I'm Karen Smith, nee Hargreaves; went to St Chrisophers then Sandy Lane college.
I lived in Accrington on Whalley Road, then Oswaldtwistle on White Ash Lane a few years ago, and would love to catch with familiar names.
Talk to me someone

Hello Karen, Welcome to Accy web, a thread is basically a subject or topic. You'll soon get used to it.

Hi Karen. Welcome to Accyweb. I used to live on White Ash Lane too. When did you live there, and which house number?

Hi Karen. I don't altogether understand it either ... have been trying to work out how to introduce myself for the last five days - can I do it this way?

Otherwise, what should I do????
