Eh up, nah then, how art thee cocker?
I want to introduce myself.
I am sixty years old, today , actually and am an old boy of Accy Grammar.
My hobby is making live steam trams in 5/8" : 1foot scale and so far amongst the engines I have built, the local ones include a model of a Burnley stem tram.
If anybody has any old pictures of steam tram in this area, then I would be very interested in a scan.
Thanks
Mike Ousby

Welcome to Accyweb, Mike. There are some great pictures of Accy trams in the book, "Accrington's Public Transport 1886-1986" by Robert Rush (Landy Publishing). I got my copy from Ossy Mills.

Re: Eh up, nah then, how art thee cocker?
Ta fer't birthday wishes. I too live abroad - in Blackburn!!
I lived in Oswaldtwistle for many years, t'other side or't lamp, so I reckons that makes me a Gobbiner.
I have seen many changes in Accrington and district, some good and some bad.
After Accrington Grammar School I was a technical apprentice at Howard & Bulloughs, being a part time student at Accrington College of Furthur Education on Sandy Lane and Blackburn Technical College.
Anyway that enough from me.
Best
Mike Ousby

Re: Eh up, nah then, how art thee cocker?
Welcome, Mike - there are a lot of Accy Grammar old boys around - I've met several who now lecture for the Open Uni, and another old boy (ex boyfriend) is living in Spain and trying very hard to cut down their exports of Rioja by upping domestic consumption! Happy Birthday belatedly.
