Good to be here
Hi.
I have decided to settle down in the area and one of the biggest factors in my decision was the quality and warmth of the people. Indeed i have some connections in Hyndburn and decided it was for me. I work as a proffessional person all across Greater Manchester including incursions into Lancashire Derbyshire Cheshire St Helens Warrington and W.Yorks. My real self is a True Lancastrian from good old Bolton : I follow Wanderers results but am mainly a RL fan following Bolton Mets RLFC home and away work permitting. I intend to give Stanley some home support when I can in person really looking forward to getting to some matches. I often wonder if people in Accrington realise whast handsome town it is archtecturally : its the epitome of trua Lancashire and awash with genuine warm friendly people : its a great shopping destination with free parking , relaxed environment. My teenage daughter loves it , and thats a big heads up seeing as we come from Bolton !
Its amazing how residents in the Accy Observer letter pages run Accy down and feel its inferior and dying : believe me I have a wide perspective and its not so...I get at work to such places as Mcr Stockport Ashton under Lyne Leigh Wigan Oldahm Rochdale and thats for starters and I will say hand on heart none of them appeal to me as much as Accrington so trust me folks stop running it down : it's brill !
PS coming from Bolton we eat Chip Barms ..in Hyndburn and Backburn its a T cake. I say a teacake is a breakfast item thats full of fruit ( depending on the baker haha ) toasted and nice with a cup of tea. So a fun debate is Barmcake or t cake ..its fascinating how a few miles makes such a difference in some words. Love it !
Great to join you all
