Hello
Hi.....just joined up this evening having had a day in Church Kirk. I've been fiddling with my family history for about thirty five years. I was born in Shrewsbury, and indeed live in North Shropshire. However my old man was born in Rochdale, as was his Father. My mother was from Eccles..but that is another story.
I hit a brick wall with the research on my fathers side, my surname is Chambers, many years ago and have not paid any attention to it since, I spent a lot of time looking at other parts of the family.
Anyway a couple of months ago I had break through in a birth cross match that pin pointed the Chambers side in and around Church Kirk, mellor, Oswaldtwistle and Blackburn from about 1680ish through to the 1860s; hence my first visit today.
You may all laugh bit I am blown away by the place.
Anyone out there that may be interested in discussing the history and area today? Chris C

Re: Hello
Hi ChrisC .. welcome to Accyweb.
Sorta' work with a lady called Chambers, albeit though her 'ex' marriage I suspect.
Will try and get a chat with her.

Re: Hello
I welcome you Chris, but point out that you are in the wrong section. Post your Chambers queries in Lost Friends/Families- go into Forum to find this.Head your popsting 'Chambers Family' Do expect some humour from those who associate the word 'chambers' with non-family matters.
