was and wasn't. it was harder on my family. you take each day as it comes and deal with what you see and have to deal with either there or afterwards. my family were all worried sick through the whole war. everytime someone was killed and they didn't announce the name my mum and aunt would lie awake wondering where i was or if it was me until the names were released. suppose thats harder on them than being shot at. if you understand what i mean.
