Hello everyone!

Hello my name is Anne and I was born and bred in Accrington, went to Holy Family School and my family used to work on the market. Just thought I might be able to find some old friends on here. Take care everyone!

Re: Hello everyone!

How will your friends know it's you? Do you have a surname? Is it Heinz? When were you at HFS? Where did you live? Who would you like to find?

Re: Hello everyone!

Yes it was Furey, at school from 63 to 68, lived on Barnfield Street then. Was hoping to find Linda Gifford if she is still in Accy and Julie Smith.

Re: Hello everyone!

Anne - watch out for Susie123 - she's up your way. Go into Search on the top line - type keyword Holy Family. Might be summat on the past postings.

Hello Anne and Welcome......did your family have a fruit stall on the market.?
And have you a brother who went into the legal profession/
Heck, this sounds like twenty questions.

Re: Hello everyone!

Hello Margaret ....yes my mum had a fruit stall on the market until 1966 or there abouts. My brother is a Chartered Accountant whose premises where on Avenue Parade...now turned back into two houses. My cousin is a solicitor though. You sound as if you knew of us?

Re: Hello everyone!

I worked in a little cooked meat shop on the Market in the early sixties..no not Len's...it was Slingers....and if your mum was little and very dapper(she always wore a nice hat) and worked on the stall..yes I knew her and your bother...and your cousin too.
One of them was dark haired and handsome...and used to set my heart a flutter(I was only 16) but alas, he never noticed me.
