Hello to everyone
Eh-up!
My name is Jack Petty.I lived in Accrington until I joined the Navy at eighteen.( 1956 ) I spent a lot of the war years at a house in Booth Street with my mother .Also at Wellington Street.I remember a lad in Booth Street called Bobby,I think. Also,round the corner from Wellington Street was South Street,where I had a friend called Bobby Rushton.Of course,I may be mistaken with this information.Oh,yes,in Booth Street I lived with my Granmother and Grandfather,my uncle Tom and his brother Joe.You can see it was a bit crowded! At the end of the war my mother died giving birth to my sister Christine She died after a few months.I still go down into the depths at the memory of that time.When your seven,events like those scar one forever. I hope to meet them,along with my father when the time comes. Anyway,this is just an introduction.So,anyone recollect me? |
