Not dead yet ....
Had a lovely call last night from Mez, asking if I was okay because I hadn't posted for a while ... it's great to know you care!
Have had flu, my firm have moved offices (total nightmare)and had difficulty finding the PC, now have chest infection and have a better croak than Kermit!
BUT - not dead yet!
Love to you all

Re: Not dead yet ....
So rumour of your demise has been grossly exagerated, eh Pendy. Glad to hear you're still here.

Re: Not dead yet ....
The truth is, I had no choice. Can't afford a funeral yet.
Hope to see everybody on 30th at the Stag.

Re: Not dead yet ....
After just getting over the flu, I came across this and thought it sound advice!!!
Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies.
- Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin c.
- Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system.
- Walk for at least hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.
- Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around.
- Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible.
- Get plenty of rest.
- Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.
OR
You can take the doctors office approach. Think about it, when you go for a shot, what do they do first? Clean your arm with alcohol. Why? Because alcohol kills germs.
So......
walk to the liquor store (exercise), put lime in your Corona (fruit), celery in your Bloody Mary (veggies), drink on the bar patio (fresh air), get drunk, tell jokes, and laugh (eliminate stress) and then pass out (rest).
The way I see it, if you keep your alcohol levels up flu germs can't get you!!!!

Re: Not dead yet ....
Hope you feel better soon Pendy. Have only ever had full blown flu once, and it knocked me out literally for about 2 weeks.

Re: Not dead yet ....
It's probably the badness coming out as they used to say, and not the flu at all!
Hurry back well and fit.
