Relocation

hello everyone...still not sure of correct etiquette on here ut trying hard.have recently moved south from ossy....spent all my life previously in accy.just joined facebook but sruggling...its an age thing!daughter has forbidden me feom being her friend on tne site...wonder why!!!i worked at accy library fro many years and then wardleworths bookshop until it closed anyone out there who worked at these places. if i should have put this on another frum...aplogies.

hi liked the reply and the quote...not been on much....such abusy life..ha ha.now ive moved and still feel homesick at times and this seemed agood way of keeping in touch...for a foreigner amongst all thes southerners..

Hello, and welcome.

I lived in London for nearly half my life, from the age of twenty.

I loved it, but my heart and roots were still up here.

It wasn't unknown for me to accost people on buses, the tube, and even chase someone through the crowds down Piccadilly, if I heard an accent from within five miles from Ossy.

Although suprised, the people were always understanding, and nice...as you'd expect of folks from here.

welcome to accyweb .. my sister worked at accy library for a lot of years then transferred to burnley .. and trawden and wherever they sent her ....
