Thanks and hello to all
Hi All
I introducing myself. Jane from Norfolk. Sadly never been to Accrington and know only what I’ve read about the area.
I’ll keep it short as this will prob need to go in another heading or search field.
I’ve found some v interesting photos and postcards from 1917. They are written by Bertha the address she gave is 73 Catlow Hall Street, Oswaldtwistle and 30 Canal St, Church. No photo or Surname of Bertha unfortunately.
They are to her sweetheart my Great Uncle George Brown when he was on active duty at various places in WW1. I have no idea who she was but you never know your luck maybe someone here could have an idea? George was one of the many who did not make it home again. I found them all in a hidden box no one knew they were there.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I have scanned the cards if anyone is interested.
Merry Christmas to all and thanks again.
