Question A Good Nursery??

I am currently looking for a new, better paid job. But having Harry its difficult as I can only work evenings & weekends.

I wasn't going to put Harry in nursery till he was a bit older (he's 16 months), but I'm very restricted in my job choices. So have decided to look at nurseries, even if its just from 2/3pm till 5pm it will give me a bit more scope in looking for a job.

I know what nurseries are round here, but was wondering if anyone could recommend a good one? Where do you send your children? The cost is not a problem.

Any help will be appriciated.

Heathlands in Accrington is very good.

Children have fun, as well as having a good start in learning.

I had No complaints with the nursery I used to sent my little one to.

Victoria Nursery, Victoria Street, near the Hospital.

suppose it depends on how local to you, your work you want.

Re: A Good Nursery??

I tried Heathland, but they where full up and TBH I wasnt that impressed, the building looks nice and big, but it seems the nursery part is in a porta cabin next to it.

Cant complain about Victoria Nursery. Never had Any problems.

My two both went to Victoria nursery and loved it, it's a few years ago now as the youngest is 13 but I believe it still has the same good reputation

I can highly recommend First Class Childcare on Regent Road, just off Dill Hall Lane. We've used them for 6 years now and have always been very happy with it.The nursery manager and staff are very helpful and caring. My two have always loved going to nursery.
I've also heard very good reports about Fairfield nursery on Fairfield Street in Accrington, they seem to be held in high regard .Good luck with your search.

I'm still looking too but the two I'm about to check out are Heathlands and First Class Dill Hall, my nephew went to Victoria nursery and loved it but it doesn't stay open long enough for me.

We used that First Class but were not very impressed. The child care was excellent but it always looked scruffy, almost un clean.

We now use Fairfield Childrens Centre. It is always clean and the staff and care is excellent. I know the Head so I know the children will be in excellent hands. Over the last few years they have extended it a couple of times so everything is nice and new.

I recently ish spoke to someone who used to work there and would not want to put her own child their. Maybe just sour grapes about not being their still. I will ask why next time I see her again.

Also a relative who's child goes to Oscar bears wants to move her after seeing Fairfield

Accrington Pre School on Thorneyholme Rd is great ! My daughter loved it there and was more than equipped for the transition to primary school.
