A Question for the Jocks

Is it porridge or porage? I noticed today that our works Scotsman's box of his favourite breakfast cereal was called 'Scott's Porage Oats. Quaker who own Scott's call their product porridge oats, which is correct? I'm sure Scott's used to be porridge when I were a lad.

Re: A Question for the Jocks

From the link JEFF suggested
Scott's Old Fashioned Porage Oats are made from the best quality oats, which, unlike normal porridge oats

I'd already looked at that JEFF. That's why I thought I'd ask on here.

Re: A Question for the Jocks

This could settle it :-

Pease porridge hot,
Pease porridge cold,
Pease porridge in the pot,
Nine days old.
Some like it hot,
Some like it cold,
Some like it in the pot,
Nine days old.

Goes back to Mary 1 .. mind you was made of peas Is that the old time version of sloppy peas ya' reckon ?
