Accrington Cricket Teams

Can anyone tel me if the Sir george Bullough Challenge Cup is still competed for by teams in the local cricket leagues? Any suggestions as to who might know?

Thanks for this M, How strange that you should come up at this mement, as I have just sent details of your cousin Mike to a cousin of mine - two minutes ago.( Margaret's cousin, Mike Rothwell researches buildings and companies - our Industrial heritage. His books are must-haves.

It's not one I have heard of, certainly not a first X1 trophy, I will ask my dad, he may know.

It gets only a brief mention in Nigel Stockley's book 'From Little Acorns' and appears to have got lost after 1931. Asking your dad is allus a good move.
