gonna be hard that un i suspect jelly baby, quite a bit online about Alyn Ainsworth, but nowt about orchestra members,
 think thats the norm wi most of these big bands. good luck.

A mate of mine runs a jazz-related website, so I assume there will be one or more on big-bands. Posing the question on a site may have the desired result. Also, a letter to the Radio 2 presenter whose name escapes me (Frank Woppett?) who fronts a big-band programme.
