Antique Dealers
Does anyone on here take an interest in antique pottery or know somebody that does ?
I have a W.Adams bowl which I beleive is from the 1890's ( as far as I can find on the internet ) but would like to get an expert opinion as to it's validity.

Re: Antique Dealers
what do you want to know, you can age it by the stamp on the back, is it blue and white transfer ware. william adams had lots of cousins and relatives in pottery that were also named william it can get confusing.

Re: Antique Dealers
Yes it's the blue and white stuff. The stamp says it's Fairy Villas, which according to what I can find is from the 1890's ?

Re: Antique Dealers
that stamp was used from around 1890 to tha early 1900s, wedgewood aquired adams in 1966, some patterns like indian tree are worth money, but the market isnt as strong as once was and im afraid its not worth much at all. if its got sentimental value then its worth its weight in gold, hope this helps.

Re: Antique Dealers
Found this, which unlike your's doesn't have the gilding.
"Fairy Villas" W. Adams & Co. Flow Blue Plate circa 1891-1917 - Flow Blue 5
I don't think you'd get $135 for it in the UK. I'd estimate about £35-45.
