Maybe if you're a cat you might enjoy them.

Re: anyone fancy some fish & chips ?
Most fish are edible, is the taste and the bones that are objectionable!

From Wiki
Although edible, goldfish are rarely eaten except in certain countries. A fad among North American college students for many years was swallowing goldfish as a stunt and as an initiation process for fraternities. The first recorded instance was in 1939 at Harvard University. [22] The practice gradually fell out of popularity over the course of several decades and is now rare. [22]
In the Belgian city of Geraardsbergen an annual festival is held where the medieval tradition of swallowing a small fish swimming in a cup of wine still survives. There have been a couple of court cases in the last decade but the tradition seems to survive nonetheless. The fish used is often a goldfish because of its size and price.[ citation needed]

Re: anyone fancy some fish & chips ?
When I was a child there was a choice at the fishmongers. It was a choice between cod and haddock and, sometimes, hake; not much else. When I was a young mum, mackerel was added (we were just discovering how beneficial it was to health - and how tasty it was). When Fine Fare supermarket (remember them?) opened a fresh fish counter we got the exotic shark steaks and swordfish fillets and, every now and then, tuna that wasn't in a tin!.
Now, when I buy fish (which I absolutely love), there is every species you can think of. I'm a big fan of halibut, sole, mackerel and plaice but I'll happily eat red mullet, sea bass, bream and, it goes without saying, eels and shellfish. If it swims - I'll eat it (and, yes, I love octopus and squid).
If they start selling battered carp, at the local chippy, I'll give it a go. I doubt it's got more bones than a herring but - whatever - I'm up for it.

We have a big lake here in our village - Lymm Dam - and it runs into a stream called the Slitting Brook, in the centre of the village. Where the stream goes under the road is what we call the "lower dam" and there are carp in there (competing with the ducks for the bread that gets thrown in). Some of those fish are about 18" long - often bigger than the ducks - and they'd make a substantial meal.

Sorry, lovey, I can't. Mackerel and sardines are great but they do have their own pong.
Best to take capsules. I take Omega 3 Fish Oils (as well as eating all that oily fish) and Cod Liver Oil has always been the stuff to feed the mums-to-be. I love it but it's available in capsule form for those with "normal" tastes.

Well if it's as big as the one in the picture then may be, but i've got two in a tank in our kitchen and they wouldn't fill me up.

Re: anyone fancy some fish & chips ?
I get my fresh fish from a place just 10 min. walk from here ... It's called Lake Ontario and for the small fee required for a licence, I can get bass (small and large mouth), walleye, trout, salmon, perch, pike etc.
