Manchester centre haven't had them for ages now, nor Burnley.
Blackburn still have them in the centre with a warning above about discarding cigarette ends on the pavement, which is pretty decent of them I think.

That's why I have now taken to carrying one of those little portable ash trays around with me. 'Course I keep it in my handbag .. don't know where you would keep Cashy ...

i have nowhere to keep one n wouldn,t when the solution is in the councils hands, also think it would be a good thing for pubs with no smoking areas anywhere to have one on the outside wall,i put em in litter bins where possible,which as others have said is stupid, but no risk of a fine. if the council wish to fine me, it will be for more than dropping a fag end.
