Assistance required
I'd like some advice off anyone. Im thinking of moving back to the area and i'm not sure if to bother. I grew up in Accrington and have friends there, but unfortunatley I left the area under a cloud; well it was a big storm really. I've recently broke up with my wife and want to move back but i'm unsure if to build bridges with my friends or take a long cruise and go travelling. Ive been tempted by an offer to go and stay in South Africa for a while, but in the back of my mind I feel I should build bridges before I go and explore. Can anybody give me any advice. Any would be welcome.

Re: Assistance required
It's hard to advise without really knowing all the circumstances but if it was me and I took off for SA I'd probaby have in the back of my mind little niggle about bridges I didn't build. Why not put out some tentative feelers? On the other hand it would seem a shame to miss an opportnity of travel while you can. Is there any way you can do both?

its a tough call that, in my experiance though bridges are always harder to build the longer you leave em.

Re: Assistance required
Well IMHO I would go to south africa. Ask the airline if they do a one way ticket, and if they do buy it there and then. Get on the plane, ask the pilot to take off very quick and put his foot down to get out of this country.

Re: Assistance required
It is a tough one, not knowing the circumstances. I think that i'd do the travelling first, then build the bridges later. The trip to South Africa could be a once in a lifetime opportunity, & you'd kick yourself forever if you didn't sieze it.

Re: Assistance required
I'd go travelling if I was you, and use the time to enjoy yourself and to get your head together. Lancashire will still be here, wet and welcoming and warm, when and if you wish to return.
I spent half my life away from the place of my birth, and although I had some wild and memorable times whilst away, moving home was the best thing I ever did.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Re: Assistance required
well imo i also think you should do your travelling as you may not get another chance maybe try and build a few bridges while over in SA by way of putting pen to paper and that way you can have SA and test the water while your there good luck in whatever you decide its a tough call

Re: Assistance required
I would put the feelers out before travelling, it would also give the other people concerned time to think before you move back to the area, more importantly though do what feels right for you.
