atoms and ageing
atoms can be in two places at once and can choose where they want to be.
if this is true and we are also made of atoms. do we age because a few atoms that make up our body choose to be somwhere else?
and is this the same for all other materiels like cardboad or plastic.
and if so does plastic hold some sort of secret to why it dosent biodegrade
eg.
cardboad biodegrades because the atoms that make up cardboad choose to be somwhere else?
plastic does not biodegrade because its atoms cant move?

If I was to give you the answers to these questions you too would be able to produce the elixir of youth I am keeping that secret for myself until I have perfected it, It works fine on the atoms of my mind, I'm still a child up there, if only I could get the atoms of my body to do something similar.

Re: atoms and ageing
I reckon my atoms want to be somewhere else.. like on a criuse ship!..I can't say I have noticed my atoms moving to far lately..but I stay off the brown ale these days.

If you are talking about the same atom being in 2 places at the same point in it then please prove that one to me as I don't believe it to be true.
I think you should read this about biodegradable http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biodegradation

Re: atoms and ageing
If an Electron Can Be in Two Places at Once, Why Can't You? | Subatomic Particles | DISCOVER Magazine
extract-
About 80 years ago, scientists discovered that it is possible to be in two locations at the same time—at least for an atom or a subatomic particle, such as an electron. For such tiny objects, the world is governed by a madhouse set of physical laws known as quantum mechanics. At that size range, every bit of matter and energy exists in a state of blurry flux, allowing it to occupy not just two locations but an infinite number of them simultaneously.
The laws of physics are constantly re-written.
Our schooled concept of matter, time, and space are archaic.
I have watched hours of Nassim Haramein's lectures and his theories are revolutionary but logical, and although I only reached O level in physics, I understand what he is attempting to explain.
What we think of as matter is energy vibrating at a low frequency.
All existance is energy vibrating at different levels and our primitive senses only detect a small part of it - the part that vibrates in our 3rd dimension.
There are other dimensions/vibratory levels, but some people believe that if they can't see, feel, smell, hear or measure it, it isn't there. Just open your mind to the possibility that it is.

No, just close your mouth and stop trying to convince me!
You like some religious zealot are welcome to believe what you want, I just don't want it in my atoms 2 little spaces.

Re: atoms and ageing
You can only be in two places at once according to the laws of the accusing officer, who insists you're atoms-molecules-microns were being Drunk & Disorderly when in actual fact they were 50 miles away at your Grannies !

Re: atoms and ageing
All this is very interesting,
BUT if we live in this space and time
with the atoms we have, how do these
scientists measure these minute objects
if they are some where else, do the clever
beggars have the ability to travel where
we can't, or is it just more theory to fit
with there obscure views. I've listened
to a lot of Stephen Hawkins theories, some make good listening,
but thats all they are theories.
All I can say is prove it.
Less Dawson could tell good stories about
mother in laws, and we all know he could prove it.
My latest theory is that it will either rain or go dark
before morning.
