Re: Best curry house in Accy?
iv been using the akash for 20 years but sadly i can no longer vouch for them as they have simply lost their game
making portiions smaller and charging more hasnt scored any points either
went to the akash restraunt in darwen a while back and it was ok though but cant speak for teh agra which is akash owned up the top of burnley road after hapton
gonna try the one next door to teh akash and see how they do.They must be ok if they have staye din buisness been next door to the akash

Re: Best curry house in Accy?
Spice Lounge at the top of Harwood is good and they deliver as well, but Kismat in Haslingden is just as good for delivery and there is always 25% off on Just Eat.

love their food and having just come back from 10 days in India and having eaten authentic stuff from street stalls, back street places to posh restaurants with exceptional reputations its a good comparison to what I had out there. Dishes from UK "Indian rest" tend to be more Bangladesh here than true Indian ( but then India itself is so vast it has a massive variety in style depending on where you are, north being hotter, south more coconut based, some areas french/portugese influence, others english)

Re: Best curry house in Accy?
Half my team works in Pune so I was there to do some training/socialising/observation/career advice stuff. its an awesome place and the people weer genuinely so hospitable it was a little overpowering.

You must have the constitution of a Ox if you can eat all that stuff where you've been, and are still alive.
Can't understand the need for all them additives, unless its to hide bad food and poor cooking.

Re: Best curry house in Accy?
spices taste nice if you give them a try..... after all even most english meals use pepper in them. then we use nutmeg in pancakes, all spice in Xmas cake.. ginger in biscuits etc. spice is all over if you start looking...
as for additives, the UK diet has far more of them than an Indian diet.

Especially on Arrakis, can't move for the stuff. But I think you'd be hard pushed to find a Curry house there.
