Well, will keep a watchful eye out .. perhaps it's because done too much driving around and not walking in the past few years. Now retired will get out me Ladybird I-spy book and try to spot that ingeninous breed of grate peeyers.. gotta' be worth a few points

no bogs in clayton
but i do remember a public toilet opposite
the hare and hounds round about were st marys court is now i think ?
and i beleive we had a doss house sorry boarding accomodation
next door approx to the con club ?

Course there is still that piece of metal in the corner of the Fort's Arms Beechy .. fits into the corner coming outwards and rounded at the bottom .. was to stop the drinkers relieving themselves in there after they had come out of the pub. It would just dribble onto their shoes ...

Suppose they just went up the back street anyway.

Think they were quite common but this is the only one left now in Hyndburn.

There was a bog in Wheat Street, (we called in wee Street) which is off Blackburn rd roughly opposite Park rd Anotrher near Church Commercial..

There was a public toilet adjacent to the war memorial on Union Rd, right next to Tinker Brook - very convenient - last time I looked the sealed up doorways were still visible. It was in use early in my lifetime.

up Whalley rd to hospital traffic lights turn left then set back on the right with 2 small paths,red brick building, before the first right, i dont remember either.

Yeh, could be right ! .. under the trees .. vague memory .. Queens Road West ... not Queens Road though.
