The one Started Early.Took my Dog is a Jackson Brodie Novel...and I enjoyed it, but not as much as Behind the Scenes at the Museum.
I will be on the lookout for more of her novels.
I even did a review on Amazon for Behind the Scenes at the Museum...not something I do regularly.

Have just read your review! Amazing thing the internet...

Checked my bookcase -I have read Human Croquet and Emotionally Weird - the titles are great but i was not as enthusiastic about the stories though it's been a while since I read them. So many writers never quite write something that is up to their first book though...

Still reading Resident Evil Book 2(or book one if you don't count the prequel) but I am also Listening to Z.A. Recht's Morningstar Saga at work.

I have been reading(mostly listening) To a lot of zombie fiction lately and The Morning Star Saga is the one of the better ones. I am on book 3 as of today. Sadly I just found out that the author died before finishing book 3. I hope the ghost writer does it justice!

If he'd of come back as one of his Zombies he could've finished it off himself, along with ripping a few throats & brains out as snacks.

Has anyone obtained Jeannette Winterson's novel on the Lancashire Witches as yet ?

Is it a good read ?

Seems to be mostly fiction based on truth ?

Balbus ?

Just finished reading this - was a little disappointed to be honest, can't quite put my finger on why but it's just not as good as I expected it to be. It's ok,
just don't think it lived up to the hype I read about it beforehand.

Re: Bookworms: What are you reading at the moment?

Not strictly one that I have just read but one that I will never forget.
It's titled '500 mile walkies' or the publication incorporating 'Boogie up the River' is titled 'Travels with Boogie', both by author Mark Wallington.
A MUST FOR ALL DOG LOVERS/DOG WALKERS WHO HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR.
A book that will have you laughing out loud many times as you follow the long distance routes taken by the author and his 'borrowed dog', Boogie.
I have bought this book twice; firstly '500 mile walkies' then, 'Travels with Boogie'. I have also lent the book out twice to relatives who confirmed their enjoyment, both verbally and by keeping the books.
Easy reading - Have just checked the Amazon website and noticed a third book 'Pennine Walkies, Boogie up the Pennine Way'. Have just ordered it to read on holiday. Will not be lending it to anyone!
Link to Amazon, for anyone interested is;
Amazon.co.uk: 500 mile walkies: Books
