Re: can anyone recommend someone who uplifts furniture?
Sounds like a good deal. Better than paying for it to be taken away.
Can I threadwander a little question? When I read the title I thought it was going to be about reupholstering or revarnishing some worn old furniture to rejuvinate it. Is it a Scottish term 'to uplift'? I remember when I worked in the bank one of our Scottish customers said she wanted to 'lift' money when she wanted to withdraw it but to me 'lifting' meant helping yourself to something that didn't belong to you. Aren't words funny things?
