I'm with Lloyds TSB and my child benefit went into my account yesterday.

well lloyds sorted everyone out with a over draft to cover ppls backs and it was there for 2 days with no charge so i cant see them saying that to cover there backs but i could be wrong

Well im with tsb and ive got my child benefit in today so they must have sorted the problem now

if it wasnt the banks fault why would they go out of their way to give you an overdraft ? , they did it to cover their backs,
