Re: Decent Breakfast?
And just a couple of blocks away from my house: the Star Diner ... great breakfast (sorry no black puddings tho') ... a real old-fashioned greasy spoon with cubicles and a good selection of the daily newspapers ... (sorry, no Daily Mail for the intellectuals among you.)

Re: Decent Breakfast?
Thanks all for the responses....We tried annie's and it was decent enough....the only think that lets the cafes down is a decent sausage...I mean..I really have worked this out...the sausages most places serve are what we call 'sawdust sausages' the ones with more bakery than butcher in. I have priced them up like for like and based on buying them from a local butcher in bulk say 10lbs and freezing them (keeping the local businesses alive and all that) and buying the cheapo ones frozen and deep frying them to death ...the price is the same...Quality is best...none of this sawdust on my brekky please, I aint no 'orse!

Re: Decent Breakfast?
I've never been to a cafe for years that serves a decent sausage, as you say they all seem to go for the low cost option..the ones that you could eat without teeth!!! I love sausages as well, usually stock up on a few from Cowmans Butchers when i go to Clitheroe!
Best Regards - Taggy

Re: Decent Breakfast?
When you find a cafe that serves a good breakfast with proper sausages will you let me know.
I have stopped going out for breakfast for this reason,i would rather make it myself and know that im not eating sausages with a meat content of about 40% !!
There is a butty shop in Clayton Le Moors that do great butties and they have real sausages, its called Olivia Ryans. They also make there own pies and sausage rolls with real meat

Re: Decent Breakfast?
The only decent brekkie in my opinion is one that you make yourself......so at least you know what you are eating........
