Re: Do you have a lucky charm
I bought some chestnuts at a supermarket. One fell from the bag into the trolley at the checkout. I was fetched up to believe 'waste not want not' so instead of leaving it in the trolley, it was easier to fling it into my handbag as I was paying for the groceries.
I forgot about it until, soon after, I won £1000 at bingo in Burnley.
I seemed to be winning (small amounts) more often and within months I won £9000 in one go!
My lucky chestnut stayed put in my handbag until it eventually disintegrated.
It had lasted a year. I didn't try replacing it - you can't deliberately conjure up luck like that.

Re: Do you have a lucky charm
My Grandmother used to have a lucky Rabbit's foot in her jewellery box -never saw her wear it (it was made into a rather gruesome brooch), I think they used to be quite fashionable at one time.
I always bring back a small bunch of heather from the Lake District on my annual hols (I know you shouldn't really pick it!) -I keep it in a small vase in with my Japanese tea set in the china cabinet. Doesn't seem to bring much luck though...

Re: Do you have a lucky charm
I don't have a lucky charm, but my lucky number is 10. This is because I was born on the 10th and J is the 10th letter of the alphabet - it hasn't actually proven to be lucky, but I can't abandon it yet - you never know!

Re: Do you have a lucky charm
I recall seeing women wearing fox stoles - very gruesome - a dead stuffed animal around their necks

Think you're right there Cashy, People who are seen as lucky by others are often good networkers, talk to people more, and more opportunities come their way as a result...
"Luck" such as winning the lottery is completely random and happens to very few - a lot of money isn't the solution to certain problems anyway.
By the way I won 15 euros on my birthday with a scratch card but it didn't change my life!

Re: Do you have a lucky charm
Groove thinks Jaysay would need more than a lucky charm to beat him at golf.

I would suggest an arm-wrestling contest -but I think your only chance of beating Jay would be in a spelling test
