Me, I wear a St Christopher medal round my neck, the only time it ever comes of is if I need an Xray, another thing is I nearly always wear black tracksuit bottoms of slacks, when I played Golf I always dressed in all black including golfers hat
Though I can understand that human nature means there's a need to try and attempt to alter fate's path, by means of prayer, or rubbing a 'lucky' talisman.
Thankfully, not being human, I don't share that need.

Whenever I pick my lottery numbers, I have a special ritual that involves half-closing my eyes, humming tunelessly and waving my pen around in the air before marking my numbers at random.
I haven't won yet and I don't half get some funny looks in Tesco.
Here in Italy, in the autumn a lot of older people carry a horse-chestnut (conker) in their pocket -it's said to ward off colds.
Personally, i always have a candle lit in the widow all night on the 31st October.
At Xmas i always bring some real evergreen foliage into the house and Mistletoe -to ward off illness. It also signifies the end of the cycle of the seasons. I am a follower of the Cult of Nature...

Not really ... except that I do pick up pennies that I see lying in the street. "See a penny, pick it up. All the day, you'll have good luck." Doesn't seem to work though. But, I roll the pennies and add them to my regular donations to the Kingston Humane Society.
