GG try Great Harwood Electrical Services....they are ace.
On the odd time my washer has played up they have come out and fixed it...they have come when they said they will, have charged reasonable prices and the last time I used them they did not operate a call out charge.
Thier number is in the phone book.

Re: does anyone know a washing machine repair man

Sometimes repair of 'white goods' can be so expensive that it is wise to consider using that money(plus a bit) to buy new instead.

Sadly, such machines are not designed to last much beyond a few years.
The manufacturers design them that way. If they were designed to last 10+ years the manufacturer would eventually go out of business because sales would drop.

this I know but I am 99% certain it is only the pump thats gone - they are £20 to buy new so for someone to get and or fit then its worth doing so and therefore cheaper than buying a new machine as the one we have is fine.

margaret P. thanks - I will call them tomorrow.

GG. if your machine can be repaired then the Guys from GHES will do it and they won't rob you blind either.
I have always been more than happy with the work they have done.
Personally, I think we owe it to the environment to try to repair these items of equipment.
