Re: does anyone know of...

Plumbers tend not to fix washing machines. Electrical engineers tend not to do plumbing so it was a valid question. Unless it's just the pipes come loose from the back in which case either could probably fix it.

Great Harwood Electrical services are very reasonable....and I don't think they charge for call out.

Yes what you need is a washing machine repairer. It sounds more electrical or something. I had one once that did that and it was a chip inside (electrical chip not potato)

Lisa.....I have always found them to be very prompt and not too expensive.
I have no hesitation in recommending them to you.

Re: does anyone know of...

that sounds like teh programmer which unfortunately can be quite expensive.

Flashy, must you be so blunt. it was a valid question as Willow says, a plumber doesn't normally mend electrical appliances so either offer a solution, ask for more detail(as I did ) or save the wear on your keyboard and say nowt.

Re: does anyone know of...

It sounds like somethings trapped. When my washer did this it was a bra wire trapped. Have you not got an access screwy thing on the bottom front or back of the washer. If you have just take it off and clear out the debris which has collected in there, it may solve the problem.
