Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you can't train it yourself you shouldn't own it

At least they are trying, it could be their first time of having a dog and they want to get it right.

That's a bit harsh isn't it Marg ? They may not necessarily want to go for the training aspect ! they may want to attend so the Pup can learn social interaction with other Dogs & not try to bite & attack them ! Something that some people in this World could do with, looking at some of the creatures roaming the streets nowadays. A little forethought perhaps ?

I think they should be applauded for thinking about getting professional training

Send Gayle a PM and ask her for the contact details for the dog training that is done in Hippings Vale Community Centre in Oswaldtwistle. I know she will have the details.

I suspect you are being a bit of a female Canine over that, stop it now or I'll make up something about you, that you will be too proud to deny.

Let me know when I should start on someone else, I reckon there are years of material left with you!
Thanks for volunteering.

Ironic as someone for a dog training school came into the shop, so grabbed some details as someone asked.

Hyndburn Stray Dogs In Need
Does say Monday nights, but last time I was in there was a Tuesday, and they were in then.
They were all very well trained, lovely dogs and all the owners seemed very enthusiastic.

Re: Does anyone know of any puppy training/dog training schools in Accrington?
Unfortunately Hyndburn Stray Dogs no longer meet at Hippings Vale Community Centre on a monday. I don't know if they meet anywhere else but I don't think so, I think funding for the sessions ran out.
The ones that meet on a Tuesday night are Accrington Cannine Club, they're more about training show dogs rather than simply getting a dog to behave.

Did wonder Gayle, all these dogs were pedigree on Tuesday night. Did you see that Great Dane ? Sure it was a horse in disguise..
Why don't people close down their page on the website if not available. Perhaps the best thing would be to contact the dog warden ??
