Does anything eat wasps?

This might seem like an odd question but after trying my best to coax a wasp out of my window and telling it exactly what i thought of it-by the way i am petrified of the pests i began to wonder does anything actually eat wasps?

Re: Does anything eat wasps?

Ooooh, I have no idea if anything officially eats wasps as a staple diet sort of thing.....Unofficially my old dog used to eat them, or try to.... She had several wasp stings in her mouth over the years and never learned her lesson. Don't waste your time trying to coax it out, it will only sting you. My advice would be club it to death with a rolled up newspaper, Accy Observer is especially handy for this task.

Try and get hold of a black widow spider - that should do the trick.

Re: Does anything eat wasps?

Usually i'll just shut the door and leave it till my hubby gets home maybe one day i'll have the guts to club it to death!!! My mums dog is so funny with wasps he catches them kills them in his mouth , spits it out and then cocks his leg up and wee's on it. Why?? i have no idea!!! Not even he eats them and thats saying something

Best thing to do when you've finished with a jar of jam in spring and summer don't wash out any bits of jam that you can't scrape out, put it outside, allow the wasps to go in to it but make sure there's no bees in there, slap some cling film over the top and pop it in the microwave and fry the little beggars.

muhahahahahahahaha

Re: Does anything eat wasps?

Ive been painfully stung a few times & have a manic phobia of wasps be one of the few times my damsel in distress girlie bit comes out LOL

I had my 1st wasp of the year in my house last week my door collector had to squish it for me cos i was on one - even despite fumigating the house with wasp spray - mmmm i must get shed loads of that in stock for the summer if we get one lol

I hate the things too. Somehow I don't find bees as scary. We always used to get wasps in the classroom at school and nobody could settle until they were out the window.

Rusty, my King Charles Spaniel, wandered into a nest of them when he was a puppy. It was a mad dash to the vets as they were all clinging to his ears. I dread to think how many times he had been stung.

He was fine and lived to the ripe old age of thirteen but if anyone buzzed in his ear he hid behind the sofa!!
