Question Dogs and Fleetwood Beach. When Does The Season Start.

The holiday season that its when dogs are not allowed on the beach ? Is this just during the day or full time to the end of the season.

Being a nice day i fancy taking her to the coast for a good run on the beach.

Thanks

Took this from Fylde Borough Council's site Jimmi5:-

Dogs on Beaches

Between 1st May – 30th September inclusive no dogs (except in the charge of a registered blind person) are allowed on "the amenity beach area between the sea wall of the boating pool, and the northern end of North Promenade Car Park, Lytham St. Anne's.

So can go today.

Areas where you are prohibited to walk your dog:

Dogs are banned from within the areas detailed below:
Fleetwood

- Euston Park

- Memorial Park (bowling greens and play area only)

- Mount Grounds (play area only)

- Fleetwood Beach from 1 May to 30 September each year. This runs from the east side of slipway opposite to the end of Promenade Road eastwards to the west side of Fleetwood Pier.

I would have thought fleetwood would want as many people as possible visiting based on how crap the tourist trade is nowadays.

Theres a nice little spot down on St Annes beach that your allowed to take your dogs on . I take mine there all the time.
looking at it as if you were going from lytham to blackpool . on the coast road itself when you get to the end of there you can take em on there . good luck .

Was up at Blackpool myself today with the brood, (no dogs) but plenty of animals! And plenty of poo, at the zoo, weather was good, the animals were out for a change, the food was garbage and expensive, but all in all, not a bad day.

Whatever you do don't go near Cleveleys. You run the risk of being mowed down by some lunatic on a mobility scooter.

Cleveleys looks nice these days, lot of work been done, but kiddies corner has gone for a start, the pool, cafe, little changing chalets, and tennis courts etc have all gone, the place needed upgrading, but they have just made it into even more of a 'gods waiting room' than ever, no families seem to be around anymore, only pensioners.

I always go upto the marina, more Fleetwood end, better and free parking. Was a nightmare trying to drive back home down Blackpool front, it was stop start all the way down so ended up turning off and going down the back streets.
