So, exactly what do the council expect you to do with it? This is a barmy situation.

I'd suggest getting somebody to take you to the tip but i don't know if you have to pay or not?
Seems daft if you have to pay on top of council tax.

Re: domestic waste removal?

Just spread them around on Bin day.

Or wait until the bin men are on you back (or wherever) and ask them if they could take them to.

Re: domestic waste removal?

Maybe some kind AccyWebber with a truck could do it for cheaper. The flippin council should be doing it for free. If it's other people's rubbish that gets into your garden it's hardly your fault is it? Mind you I know that once it's in your garden they6 class it as yours and the street cleaners will not take it - which is why a lot of people just chuck it back over the garden wall again. Why should it have to cost you money to get rid of it?

Would have thought the council would be able to arrange a collection!!!

Try ringing the Environmental Health people ans see if they can help

Trucks and vans arnt allowed on many domestic tips, and where they allow it, you get charged.

A less environmentally conscious person would resort to fly tipping.

Re: domestic waste removal?

tbh Willow given the amount of unused land (allotments etc) at the back of rothwell avenue that wouldnt be hard. All i would have to do is carry it to the end of my garden and chuck it over the fence...........

I'm not going to tho

Re: domestic waste removal?

Why not contact your Councillor and see if he/she can sort it out for you. Explain about others using your bin. You might as well make them do something useful
