dunkenalgh river

hello, I heard there is a nice area for a bbq as the river is next to it, does anyone know if this area is a private land and if it is possible?

Not Sure I think it is part of the Dunkenalgh Estate

I think a farmer owns it, once sent police down because we had the dogs (even though they were on leads) and he was worried we would let them loose around his animals, this was down near Rishton waterfalls. I would imagine best place for a BBQ around there is that small island in the river, between the waterfalls & the M65 underpass.
Even there it probably isn`t a good idea, in this weather it`s very easy to accidentally start a grass fire.

people have bbq's along the bank at hedisford bridge in whalley .Not just the disposable ones either iv seen em dragging out the full gear as if prepparing for a banquet lol
