we have only ever sold one thing on ebay, do you need a business account if you sell more than a few things each week?

Re: Ebay addiction?
I assumed if you were doing it as a business then thats when you upgrade to business account, but if not then the normal account is fine

on ebay ...no, but paypal yes
Personal accounts on paypal can receive a limited number of credit or debit card payments per year (2 I think it is) and are assessed a transaction fee.
Only Premier and Business accountholders can receive unlimited credit or debit card payments.
so if you sell a lot on ebay, you have to open a premier account on paypal

Re: Ebay addiction?
I sold 7 things in Nov/Dec 2006 - then was told that I needed to get a business account before I sold more. I can't remember the wording of the mail I got but recall something about '3 items in any 12 month period' ( were all Paypal sales)

Re: Ebay addiction?
I've only got a standard account and we had over 150 transactions both buying & selling last year on Paypal! Not just on Ebay either.
LOL - just logged to find I'm a Premier account! What a div!

Re: Ebay addiction?
I now further recall that the last buyer used a credit card and that seemed to be what triggered the mail I got - the others must have used a Paypal account linked to a current account

Re: Ebay addiction?
I've just lost 2 items i was bidding for on ebay in the last second!! Well gutted I am. I was after a samsung digimax 3000 camera.........mine got stolen last year and the replacement I got is crap!! Won't take more than a couple of photos without draining the batteries so I wanted another like I had stolen as that was brilliant.
Oh well, keep looking eh

Re: Ebay addiction?
A free snipe bids for you in the last 5 seconds - a 'paid for' snipe waits till the last 2 seconds.
