Re: English Language Lessons??
I was watching a film last night and one of the American actresses said "I've made your cot up" .... Is cot the American word for bed?
For the Americans on site, we call a baby's bed with bars on the side, a 'cot'.

Re: English Language Lessons??
I think a cot is one of those fold up bed type things that you only use on odd occasions but I await confirmation from our American friends on this.

Hey Tinks, sorry for the delay in response (been off on a southern golf (YUCK) trip with a bunch of mates). What you refer to as a cot we call a baby crib!
