Re: factory in church

It used to be mastabar and N.G.N. Vacuum equipment when I started my apprenticeship.

Re: factory in church

Have a read of this.

It all brings on half past four! | " A Way of Life"

A few weeks later my Dad got me a job as a Press operator in his factory, (Mastabar in Church Accrington)

Working in a factory was totally different to the other jobs. This was a place full of characters; It was like a small town. Workers were very protective about their jobs and Unions were strong. Gossip was rife and you had to “Play the Game!” as I was to find out.
