Re: fish...anyone?
I had a nice piece of Cod for tea last night with chips and mushy peas, the only down side was the fish, although very nice and tasty COST £9 BLOODY QUID FROM ASDA, that was for two mind you, its twice as dear as beef now

Re: fish...anyone?
Cod is an expensive luxury now, because it is scarce due to overfishing.
This link shows fish prices at point of landing - Peterhead
http://www.caley-fisheries.co.uk/prices.htm
There was a time when oysters were the cheap food for the masses.
Cod is becoming a luxury food too.
If you had chosen haddock or plaice instead, you would have saved money
(I prefer haddock to cod)

Re: fish...anyone?
Generally friday is meant to be a meat free day anyway, and not necessarily having to eat fish.
I am just going to starve instead because I can't afford food. grin and bear it.
